The Sock Bun!


Check out this Hair Tutorial on how to make your hair super curly without any heat or hairspray! I haven't tried this method yet but you can bet tonight I definitely will. For chickadees with super super long, healthy hair like me, this is perfect. There's no breakage and no damage! All you need is a sock to spare and some water! Enjoy :)

Spring 2012

Is anybody else totally out of control excited for the spring collections. Such bright, fun colors! I am loving the trend in color and fabric contrast as well :).

Tip for Fall 2011

Bellbottoms. I don't know how, I don't know why but they are back in a big way! Make sure you pick up a pair with a nice long hem and big bell. Mine will probably be studded and ripped, so spice it up anyway that seems perfect for your personal style :)

New Look!

So recently I've been sing a whole lot of white suits on women...everywhere! It's like the hottest new trend on accident. I totally love the look; it's classy and powerful at the same time. The only thing I have a problem with are the white suits in a satin or silk type of fabric. For some reason it just doesn't mesh well with me but if the suit is cotton and you are rockin' it, all the power to ya! A+ for this new rising style!

So when I'm down and out ......and broke because I'm a 21 year old college student- these two sites are my saviors. If you're a slave to fashion like me and the lower brand names just aren't cutting it for you every now and then, Gilt Group and Ideeli are the best things ever created. They have great discounted high fashion designer clothes as well as sometimes household items/appliances too! It's great and if you love expensive things but also love saving like I do, become members and your wallet will seem a little bit heavier at the end of the week :)

Something Different

Try something different this summer everyone! I just turned 21 and decided I wanted to start to do things with no questions or hesitations. So far I've gone on road trips, gone to the movies at least once a week, watched drag racing, indulged in my appetite, gone for nature walks, had a sick 21st birthday party, gone to a yankee game, bought tickets for me and my bf to see my favorite band, burned uncountable cd's, drank butterbeer, bought tons of staple items for my wardrobe that I never had the energy to buy and the big one...dyed a lot of my hair a mix of green, blue and purple streaks. I have so much more planned for this year-This is just the beginning and I couldn't be happier! :)


So here's your chance everyone! Go do something that you never let yourself do or things that you just put aside. Do something crazy! I promise you will not regret it. Do whatever you want and everything else will seem to fall completely into place.

Loving these new stockings, they're so different than the other patterned stockings I own. Originally had a black oversized sweater over it, but it did not really work with the whole trend I was going for. Found the black blazer buried in the back of my closet and it just seemed to pull the whole outfit together. :)

Saw this man while I was out and about....
I can't even with this jacket right now. Can't even.
Enough is enough boys. Just because you are apparantly fashion-retarted, doesn't mean you can go around buying stupid looking oversized VELVET blazers with dragons and shields and swords embroidered on to the back. This needs to be burned, and he needs to find his way out of the hole he has buried himself in because of this jacket.

Something I Actually Like From Betsey Johnson

Let's be honest here people, Betsey Johnson's dressed are a mess of fabric. Don't get me wrong because she is incredibly innovative but I do not understand how a dress can be considered "fashionable" when it just truly looks like Dr. Suess vomited during a cheesy 80's prom film and created a wardrobe. I mean, really. But regardless of that fact, her bathing suits are actually awesome this season. And by awesome, I mean completely and utterly adorable/wearable. Someone buy me one for my birthday pleasee! Check them out!

Coral & Pink

I'm very excited about the summer colors headed our way. Corals and pinks are making a very serious comeback for women for the 2011 summer and it looks as though they are here to stay considering Pantone announced Honeysuckle (a bright-ish pink) the color of the year! To be honest, I don't know a single person that can't pull off one of the two colors. Sounds great in my book! Personally I'm more of a coral-toned lover myself, maybe it just works better with my basically translucent skintone, but you can't really go wrong with a pantone pink either. Very pumped to see all the zesty and fun styles to make their way into the public eye this season :)

Rompers vs. Overalls

Okay so i think this needs to be addressed. People, seriously. There is a BIG BIG BIG difference between rompers and overalls. I don't know what the deal is with designers and brands trying to break their way back into the overall look but it just doesn't work. I don't care who you are or how big your name is, the style does not look good on anyone. Not models, not average people, not celebrities, no one. It's a terrible look and should never be brought back from the dead. I mean, look at the crotch. Why does there need to be so much cinching and looseness? Is she trying to steal melons from the grocery store? No. I can't even with this look.

There we go. An adorable, romantic, grapefruit toned romper. This is approved. And, as you can tell it looks great and could work for all different body types. Throw out your overalls, ladies. It's not okay to be wearing them or owning them.
